BUFFALO CHICKEN DIP - Buffalo Wings that keep your fingers clean!

As I mentioned earlier this week, I have been hunting for new and interesting chicken recipes and it seems to be Chicken Dip week!

Here's another good recipe for using either fresh cooked or leftover chicken that is a great appetizer and Tiny Food! This one is based on the flavor of Buffalo Wings and you'll find it's really tasty and a lot less messy to eat than the actual wings! Delish!

Enjoy and be sure to stop by The Martini Diva for some great martini recipes to go with!

  1. Here's my version of the recipe:
1 pkg. (8 oz.) cream cheese, softened
2 cans (9.75 oz each) Swanson® Premium Chunk Chicken Breast, drained
    ½ cup Frank’s ® RedHot ® Sauce
½ cup blue cheese salad dressing
    ½ cup crumbled blue cheese
    Assorted fresh vegetables and/or crackers

    Directions:
    1. Stir cream cheese in 9” deep pie dish until smooth. Stir in remaining ingredients.
    2. Bake at 350°F. for 20 min. until hot and bubbling. Stir. Serve with vegetables and crackers.

    Tips:
Substitute ranch dressing for blue cheese dressing and shredded cheddar or mozzarella cheese for blue cheese crumbles.

I always use Swanson Chicken because it's made with only white meat (I work with them so I know!).

  2. KaitCav - thanks for adding your recipe!!! Always nice to have options - though I have to admit I have never been able to eat canned meat in any form except tuna. I like the crumbled blue cheese idea really well.

  3. I just think that Swanson Chicken is different since it's made with only white meat chicken breast and has no preservatives/artificial flavors. I know I work for Swanson, but, I really think it improves the consistency of the dip. When you have to cook and shred your own chicken, sometimes I hear complaints about getting a bite with a large hunk of chicken and then getting a bite with no chicken at all! This dip recipe has been really popular amongst my friends and family, so, give it a try! Maybe you'll change your mind!

  4. KaitCav - Well, it never hurts to try new things - that's for sure! And using canned chicken would certainly save a lot of time and work!
    Thanks again for stopping by!
