FREE BLANK RECIPE CARD and Gearing up for Halloween!

Here's another free blank recipe card for you to download and save!

This design is called Incorporated and I created it for my new Taking Care of Business Graphics Store and Stock Business Graphics (so if you're starting a new enterprise and need AFFORDABLE graphics check them out!)

I'll be adding more as time permits so be sure to collect them all - they make great gifts too, simply download them (click on the image above and the full 300 print resolution 5"x3" card will pop up - then right click and "save as" - don't be freaked out that it looks bigger than 5x3 - that's because your computer monitor only shows 72 dpi so larger files will appear way bigger!)

Pretty soon I'll be posting Halloween appetizers - yes, it's that time of year again! I love Halloween and have a ton of great Spooky recipes. I'll also give you the blank designs too for your own recipe - which you could share with us if you'd like!). I'm going to be posting the Halloween Martinis too at The Martini Diva at the same time - so if you're having a Halloween Party be sure to check out both these blogs during the month of October!

BTW, below is a little preview of all my Halloween tees, cups, posters, cards etcetera - I even have Halloween shoes!!

FROZEN FUNKY PIZZA into FABULOUS FOOD?

Image from http://commons.wikimedia.org/wiki/File:Tk_pizza.jpg

I've been working such long hours building my new online stores (links below in case you have an urge to go shopping!), setting up my new STOCK IMAGE SITE (where you can now download a variety of all my different forms of art for use on your websites, blogs, articles, etc) that I have not had as much time to cook my lovely appetizers and meals lately.

I'm a little embarrassed to admit that I bought a stack of those individual frozen pizzas for my freezer. Hey, they were on sale for a buck and I was desperate for fast food that didn't involve gas and a drive-up window! BUT you really can turn some of these sad little excuses for pizza into something entirely edible with just a little work.

Here's what I did.
  • First, I bought the kind that have the crispy crust because the dough on the others really doesn't cut it for me.
  • Then I simply cut up a few extra veggies like broccoli and green peppers, grabbed a cup of shredded cheese and 6 or seven slices of salami and set those aside.
  • I put the frozen pizza in the oven and baked it at the temperature suggested on the package for half the time - this gets it to the unfrozen state
  • Then I took it out and added my extra veggies, cheese and meat and
  • Baked it for the remaining time.
You'll be surprised how this sad little pizza that started out with a few specks of teeny sausage and a pinch of shredded cheese turned into something that actually tasted decent!

It's a heck of an alternative to peanut butter and crackers or a trip to Mickey D's when you have no time to cook and don't want greasy salt ridden fast food! Next time I'm starting with a cheese pizza and adding garlic and an assortment of chopped frozen veggies from a bag! Then I'm gonna try tossing on some leftover chicken, extra cheese and some barbecue sauce!

Pretty soon you'll all be calling me the Diva of Gourmet Frozen Pizza, lol.

BTW, hope over to The Martini Diva for another new blank recipe card to download today and a link to my new Stock Image Site!

FREE BLANK RECIPE CARDS - GREAT ART for GREAT RECIPES!

I've been so busy with my businesses this summer than I haven't posted a lot of new recipes - because I've barely had the time to cook! I still haven't had a chance to try out those chocolate chip cookie bars I posted about last week - sheesh!

I've been creating new art for several purposes and some of them were so cute I thought they'd make great blank recipe cards for my faithful visitors to download and print out for their recipe filing! You can also save them up, print out a bunch of them for great gifts too!

TO DOWNLOAD THE FULL 5"X3" IMAGE CLICK THE IMAGE THEN RIGHT CLICK THE RECIPE CARD TO SAVE AS

The first four above were images created for my new account at Dreamstime where you can now go and DOWNLOAD MY ART for use on your blogs, websites and even for some printing uses! The designs above were created for use as logo - masthead - banner designs that people can buy for a buck or two and use them on their sites! I also formatted these designs for matching business cards and tees and other products at Taking Care of Business for companies or people who want a total graphic branding package for a really reasonable fee.

One of the other things I've been doing instead of sharing recipes with you is creating nine - yes, NINE new online stores:
The PopArtDiva™ Gift Gallery
The Martini Diva™ Boutique
Carousel Corner
Happy Holly Daze
Taking Care of Business
The Brat in the Hat RANTORIUM EMPORIUM™
Cocktail Napkin Wit & Wisdom
The Normal Challenged Artist™ Shoppe
TweetleBirdie™ - Twitter Stuff

So, hopefully you'll forgive my lack of recipes the last few months - I do this blog and share my favorite recipes for free and the bills have to get paid - unless, of course, you'd just like to send me money, lol. Halloween is coming up so you can be sure I'll be posting fun new Halloween recipes and cards soon so just bear with me while I, like, work for a living!
Happy Labor Day and enjoy the new line of recipe cards!

CHOCOLATE CHIP COOKIES BARS

I was really craving chocolate chip cookies the other day and was going to make some when I realized I didn't have any baking powder or soda. The classic Toll House cookies call for baking powder and I was hunting the internet for any chocolate chip cookie recipe that didn't (who was I kidding?) when I stumbled on the recipe below.

This one calls for pre-made chocolate chip cookie dough which I didn't have either so - no cookies for me - I just ate the chips alone to satisfy the chocolate craving but I'm still jonesing for cookies!

I wish I'd saved the location where I found it but I didn't, BUT I think these sound absolutely delish and I'm going to give them a try and see what I think. If any of you have tried this or something similar let me know.

In the meantime here's the recipe I shall be trying out as soon as I get the cookie dough. BTW, the only pre-made cookie dough worth buying is Nestles as far as I'm concerned:

CHOCOLATE CHIP COOKIE BARS

2 pkgs. chocolate chip slice-n-bake cookies
2 lg. pkgs. cream cheese
1/2 c. sugar
2 eggs
1 tsp. vanilla
1 (13"x9") rectangular pan

Slice cookies thin and spread over bottom of pan. Mix together cream cheese, sugar, egg and vanilla. Spread mixture over cookie slices. Place rest of slices over top of cream cheese mixture. Bake in 350 degree oven for 30 to 35 minutes. Cool and refrigerate. Slice into bars.

Enjoy and let me know if you liked yours and I'll return the favor!
